Welcome to the CSN website!

Established in 2002, the CSN operates within the not-for-profit/ charity sector and is funded through the Crime & Disorder Team (Neighbourhood Renewal Fund), and Community Network for Manchester (Safer Stronger Communities Fund).
Our role is to provide a mechanism for the Voluntary and Community sector to engage with the Crime & Disorder Reduction Strategy and Manchester Partnership and help co-ordinate the response of our members to various strategies.
By holding consultation events which focus around crime reduction and community safety related issues, our aim is to:
- Deliver the strategy at a grass-roots level
- Co-ordinate the response of our members
- Feedback recommendations to decision-makers
The CSN has worked hard to gain access to places of authority which ensures that a two-way feedback mechanism is in place for voluntary and community sector groups to get their message across.
CSN events are a great way to network with other groups working towards the same goal. So often, we all work in isolation when we could make our jobs much easier by sharing information. The more informed we are as a collective network, the greater our ability to operate and manage ourselves more effectively.
For more information about the Network, please contact the CSN Project Manager (Stephanie Jones) on 0161 226 7186. |
